Lorie G. with glasses taking a selfie, wearing a red shirt and showing a tattoo on their arm.

Lorie is a tattoo artist based in Dallas, Texas, specializing in blackwork and illustrative tattoos. Her goal is to create a calm, respectful space where clients feel safe expressing their ideas and leaving with artwork they’re proud to wear.

Her love for art started early and followed her through childhood and her teen years. After graduating high school in 2010, she continued to grow her craft, participating in local art shows like Pancakes & Booze and RAW. Throughout her 20s, she worked in the corporate world while creating art on the side—but by 30, she knew it was time to chase her dream. She began her tattoo apprenticeship in 2021 and officially started tattooing in 2023.

Lorie currently tattoos at Cano Ink in Dallas. When she’s not tattooing, you’ll find her making art, eating Korean food, raving, or hanging with her husband and two dogs.

Favorite styles: botanical, whimsical animals, ornamental, abstract, celestial, and blackwork.

Before Your Appointment

In the days leading up to your appointment, please take special care of the area where you’ll be getting tattooed. If the skin is damaged, I will be unable to tattoo that area. To protect your skin, please apply sunscreen. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning. It’s also a good idea to prep your skin by exfoliating and keeping it well moisturized prior to your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, make sure to wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the tattoo area - also clothing that you don’t mind getting a little ink on. Eat a good meal and make sure you’re hydrated.

When you arrive to your appointment, please wait in the lobby until I come out out to greet you. You’re more than welcome to bring a guest, but only 1 please. No minors please!

Here’s what you can bring to your appointment!

  • snacks and water

  • headphones, book, tablet

  • sweater/blanket

  • any items that will make you feel comfortable during your session

If you have any engagements or responsibilities you need to take care of after your appointment, please let me know! While I do try to stick to my estimated time, I cannot always guarantee that I will finish in time. I will not rush the tattoo to fit your schedule.
